2007 Forum Science 100 held at XTBG

Co-organized by CAS Graduate University (GUCAS) and CAS Kunming Branch, the Annual Forum 2007 of Science 100, a CAS annual forum for outstanding young scientists, was opened on November 28 at XTBG, bringing together more than 90 experts and scholars from various CAS nstitutions across the country.

   The opening speeches were separately delivered by vice director Li Hefeng of CAS Bureau of Personnel and Education, CPC Secretary Deng Yong ofGUCAS, and director Chen Jin of XTBG.

    At the two-day Forum, a series of workshops and lectures were organized. Over 60 scholars gave talks on cutting-edge issues in such fields as life sciences, energy resources, environment, geoscience, and materials science, etc. The participants also had interdisciplinary academic exchanges.

 

 

 

 

 

     Officially launched in April 2004, the Forum Science 100 is aimed at pooling collective wisdom of young scientists who have been recruited from abroad and providing a platform for communication among the scholars who have been granted CAS Hundred Talents Program.
