The Hong Kong Flower Show 2006, organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), was run from March 3 to March 12 at Victoria Park, with the theme of “Enchanting Beauty”. Prof. Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, participated in the Show on invitation.
On March 6, Dr. Chen Jin delivered a lecture titled “Reviews and Prospects on World Biodiversity Conservation” in the Seminar on Greening at the Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library. Prof. Chen also introduced the role XTBG plays in biodiversity conservation.
During the stay in Hong Kong, Prof. Chen Jin visited the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens and the Victoria Park.
The Hong Kong Flower Show is a major event organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to promote horticulture and the awareness of greening.
