With the theme “Towards sustainable land-use in tropical Asia”, the second annual conference of ATBC Asian-Pacific Chapter was held from April 23-26th in Sarawak, Malaysia. More than 200 experts and scholars engaged in tropical biology research were attracted to the annual meeting. Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, headed up a 9-person group to participate in the conference.
As chairman of the Asian-Pacific Chapter of Association for Tropical Biology & Conservation (ATBC), Dr. Chen Jin addressed the meeting. Other XTBG participants made presentations of their own domains at different symposiums.
Dr. Chen Jin and his colleagues also visited the Sarawak National Park, to see the experience in management and conservation of plants and animals. |
