There are many easy ways of keeping things low carbon and minimizing the impact on climate change. With low carbon, energy saving and environmental protection as its core idea, XTBG organized a series of activities to incorporate the idea of low-carbon practices into celebrating Water Splashing Festival and May Day holidays.

During the Water Splashing Festival (April 12-18), at which water splashing is featured as entertainment, XTBG promoted saving water and celebrating the festival in a low-carbon way. The May Day holidays (May 1-3) were also celebrated similarly.

By using waste paper in all colors, sizes and shapes, visitors especially children were taught to make artisitic things. That’s paper folding, an art to make all kinds of shapes of things with paper, usually without using scissors and glue.

The visitors enjoyed their low-carbon holidays.

Some children regarded the holidays very meaning and said that “the activities let us know the idea of low-carbon life, we would like to promote the idea and start to do it from ourselves by saving water, electricity and paper. We should also protect the environment.”
