“Flowering from the west to the east, crystal-clear Luosuo river bend outlines a gourd-shape isle in Menglun.” The gourd-shape isle refers to Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG). Located on the picturesque isle, XTBG was established under the leadership of Chinese famous botanist Prof. Cai Xitao. Famous for its tropical botanical landscape, a popular saying for the garden is that “you haven't traveled Xishuangbanna if you don’t visit gourd isle when coming Xishuangbanna.”

Come and discover a tropical paradise of natural beauty in China’s largest botanical garden. Explore a rich landscape, as local expertise brings XTBG alive. Walk among the garden’s 38 living collections and visit a natural rainforest, sense nature’s soothy serenity as the fragrance of flowers and bird song fills the air.
