The 6th “Rhythm of Life” Xishuangbanna International Art Exhibition--Biodiversity Local Art Creation Exhibition unveiled its mask in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) on September 27. The opening ceremony brought together 60 officials and artists from home and broad.
Prof. Yang Yongping, director of XTBG, delivered an opening speech. He hoped the participating artists would present the amazing beauty of Xishuangbanna tropical rainforest through their two-week creation in the garden.
Inviting 15 artists from home and broad, the exhibition showcased over 50 art works including oil paintings, wood carvings, calligraphy, woodcuts, easel painting,installation,new media,photography, sculpture, and poems, etc. All these showed vivid biodiversity cultures in Xishuangbanna.
The 15 artists are Katharina Rahmi from Switzerland, Niamh Cunningham from Ireland, and 13 Chinese artists including Gao Xiang, Chen Wenyou, Zhou Rui, Chen Nan, Yang Chunlong, Duan Jianwei, Yu Jian, Zhu Jinghua, and others.
