On December 4, the important project named “Species Conservation and XTBG Capacity Building for Sustainable Development” has passed the acceptance review by a panel of experts organized by CAS Bureau of Life Sciences & Biotechnology.

Officially launched in 2005, the project “Species Conservation and XTBG Capacity Building for Sustainable Development” has been successfully accomplished through hard work.

With the implementation of this project, XTBG has set up secure strategies for long-term preservation of tropical plant species and perfected the structures of species conservation; meanwhile it has enhanced research and development on economic plants. Furthermore, the landscape has been much improved. A management system for digital botanical gardens has been established.
