Mild climate and agreeable temperatures have turned Xishuangbanna in southwest China's Yunnan Province into a kingdom of countless plant species where flowers of different shapes and colors bloom all year long.

Today, we continue with the compilation of flowers that have bloomed each month throughout this year at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Garden.

Take a look at our September collection, and don't miss the blossoms in DecemberNovember and October.

Kigelia africana

Nyctanthes arbor-tristis

Voacanga africana

Acampe rigida

Habenaria ciliolaris

Byttneria pilosa

Aristolochia howii

Sterculia brevissima

Ipomoea carnea subsp. fistulosa

(All photos are contributed by Mo Haibo, who earned his master's degree in botany and now works at Xishuangbanna Botanic Garden. Botanic photography has gradually become a way for him to express his affection for plants – his obsession since childhood.)
