During November 3-7, seminars on the program of “conservation of cultural landscapes through diversification of resource use – strategies for agro-ecosystems in mountainous South China”, which is planned to be collaboratively applied by XTBG and University of Hohenheim, Germany, were respectively held at Jinghong and XTBG for the first time.

28 experts with 12 research institutions from both China and Germany took part in the seminar. The participants made a site visit to the nature reserve at the Naban river valley. In-depth discussions on environmental system, agricultural system, social economic system and models etc were carried out. Primary targets and organizing modes were reached.
