Having finished their two-year research program at XTBG workstation for postdoctoral research on biology, Dr. Aeshita Muher Jee and Dr. Burkhard Wilske are to leave the Garden in early December.

On November 18, a panel of experts held an appraisal meeting for their research work here. After their reports, the experts put questions and the foreign postdoctors made oral defense. The expert panel reached agreement that the postdoctoral research reports passed review.

Entering the Postdoc Program of XTBG in September 2004 (marking the official launching of such a program here), Dr. Aeshita Muher Jee from Saurastra University in India and Dr. Burkhard Wilske from Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Germany have conducted their research into plant-animal interactions and plant eco-physiology respectively under the supervision of Prof. Chen Jin and Prof. Cao Kunfang.
