Description: Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in Group of Molecular Breeding of Energy Plants to establish an efficient transformation system for the biodiesel plant, Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L., physic nut) and to identify genes that are important for Jatropha seed yield and oil content and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress. The appointment is for two years.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD and a good track record in plant genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in generating and characterizing transgenic plants.

Salary and Benefits: Base salary is RMB 5,000 per month. Benefits include: free accommodation, free lunch on working days, medical insurance, personal accident insurance, travel insurance, special festival allowance and year-end bonus.
