In order to strengthen protection and management of biological species resources, a “Committee of Experts in Protecting Provincial Biological Species Resources (CEPPBSR)” was set up by Yunnan Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau in May, 2005. Prof. Zhu Hua, a doctoral supervisor with Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was appointed as member of the committee. His tenure is to May 16^th, 2008.

     Hopefully the expert committee members will jointly contribute a lot to the biological species resources protection and management in Yunnan province.
