Science&Technology Administrators from Developing Countries visit XTBG

    The first session of the International Training Program for Research Institute Leaders of Developing Countries was held on November 23 at the Graduate University of CAS in Beijing. The training was aimed at promoting mutual understandings, strengthening exchanges and developing talent. The trainees came to visit XTBG in the company of relevant leaders of GUCAS and Bureau of International Cooperation, CAS during December 10-12. The trainees were science and technology administrators from Mongolia, VietNam, Cambodia, Laos, DPRK, Myanmar and Pakistan. 

 

   After a brief welcome ceremony, Mr. Li Hongwei, deputy director of XTBG, held a meeting with the visiting administrators, Prof. Hu Huabin gave an introduction about the Garden, focusing on international cooperation with neighboring countries. Some suggestions and implementing measures for further and deepened cooperation with neighboring countries were put forward at the meeting.

 

   The guests looked around the scientific facilities like the ex situ conservation area of rare and endangered plant species, living plant collections, and the Tropical Rainforest Ethnic Culture Museum within the Garden.
