On December 13, Xishuangbanna prefectural government and XTBG signed a cooperation agreement on science and technology in Jinghong, capital city of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. As representatives of the two sides, Ms. Dao Linyin, acting sheriff of Xishuangbanna government, and Prof. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, signed the agreement.

The agreement covers such topics as joint application for key projects both provincially and nationally, enhancing the construction of information network, promoting the establishment of research base, personnel training and exchanges, etc. According to the agreement, XTBG will actively participate in and support academic and economic changes of the prefecture at all levels, contribute more to the social and economic sustainable development of Xishuangbanna, while fully displaying the advantages of the Garden on forest ecology, resource plants and biodiversity conservation. By strengthening cooperation on science and technology, Xishuangbanna prefectural government and XTBG will reach win-win situation.

    Ms. Huang Shan, vice sheriff of the prefectural government, presided over the signing ceremony. Present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Qin Huahu, a vice sheriff, Mr. Peng Daiping, deputy director of XTBG, Mr. Li Hongwei, also deputy director of XTBG, and some other superintendents of Xishuangbanna government.
