On August 27, a panel of 7 experts gathered together at XTBG Kunming Division, with Dr. Cao Min as chairman, to evaluate the work of Prof. Yu Diqiu and Assoc. Prof. Tang Jianwei, who have been financially supported by the CAS “Light in Western China” Program.

The expert separately listened to Prof. Yu’s work report on the implementation of “Functional analysis on a series of gene in transcription factor WRKY family of upland rice in Yunnan”, and Tang’s work report on the implementation of “Operation model of agro-forestry ecosystem in tropical mountains in Xishuangbanna”. Afterwards, they went through document review and “question-and-answer” sessions. The panel reached agreement that the two experts passed the end-term appraisals.

Prof. Yu Diqiu’s performance was evaluated as excellent, and Tang’s as good.
