Vice Governor Liu Ping of Yunnan paid an inspection tour to XTBG on December 6, focusing on the tourism construction projects in the second phase and the establishment of Menglun Elite Tourism Township.

  After an on-site inspection on the tourism construction projects, Mr. Liu Ping listened to a work report made by Dr. Chen Jin. Besides achievements, Prof. Chen Jin mentioned difficulties XTBG is confronted with.

  In recognition of the hard work, the vice governor also expressed his ardent expectations. He said that XTBG should put the Master Plan into practice, accelerate breeding more plant varieties of good quality, improve gardening levels, and enrich cultural connotations. “XTBG is expected to play a leading and model role in the second pioneering work of tourism industry in Xishuangbanna, and contribute to turn Xishuangbanna into a real origin of Dai ethnic culture, a place for insulating from cold, and a natural oxygen bar” the vice governor was quoted as saying.

 Vice governor Liu Ping also listened to report on the progress of constructing Menglun Elite Township.

 The vice governor’s entourage included Xishuangbanna CPC Secretary Jiang Pusheng, Magistrate Dao Linyin and government officials at different levels. XTBG deputy directors Peng Daiping and Li Hongwei accompanied the tour too.
