Ms. Gao Yuanyuan, deputy director-general of Department of Foreign Aid, Ministry of Commerce (MOC), paid a visit to XTBG during March 21-23. Deputy Director General Qiu Juliang of CAS Bureau of International Cooperation accompanied the visit. Their tour was to know more about the work of international cooperation and foreign aid project by XTBG.

      Giving a warm reception, Dr. Chen Jin briefed the guests about XTBG. Dr. Cao Min talked about progress and problems of the foreign aid project undertaken by XTBG to help Cambodia to set up its first national botanical garden.

Ms. Gao expressed her respect to the scientists and staff working hard in such a remote area for generations. She also hoped XTBG to try every possible means to make the foreign aid project approved as soon as possible.

Mr. Qiu Juliang also fully acknowledged the achievements in international cooperation and exchanges by XTBG.

     Dr. Chen Jin and Dr. Cao Min showed the guests around the Garden. Ms. Gao spoke highly of the work of science popularization and said that “XTBG is popularizing scientific knowledge at every corner within the Garden”.
