Two foreign students accomplish degree studies at XTBG

According to decisions made by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Graduate University of CAS, two foreign students of XTBG are qualified for obtaining academic degrees this spring.

Upon satisfactory performance of required courses and credits, the two foreign students’ applications for academic degrees were approved. Nabil Ibrahim Elsheery from Egypt is to be conferred on a PhD degree, and Tran Xuan Cuong from Vietnam a master degree.

 

  During the three years (2004.09-2007.07) in pursuit of his PhD degree at XTBG, Nabil Ibrahim Elsheery finished his study on the effects of chilly temperatures and drought stress on photosynthesis in mango trees, and had published his research results in international peer-reviewed journals.

 

Tran Xuan Cuong was majoring in plant science and got satisfactory research results for his 3-year M.S. training program.
