XTBG finishes species field survey of the 6-ha permanent plot

XTBG has recently completed species field survey of the 6-ha permanent plot at Ailao Mountain. The arrangement of one hundred fifty 20m x 20m plots has been primarily finished in forest compartment. The plants labeling, species identification, measurement of diameters at breast height, height determining and tree positioning have been finished.

    The first census made it clear that there are 12,335 individuals with DBH1cm, belonging to over 50 species.

 

    The field survey was undertaken by the staff of Ailaoshan Station, in collaboration with Jingdong Nature Reserve Administration.
