Ms. Song Xiuyan, Governor of the People’s government of Qinghai Province and the only female governor in China now, paid a visit to XTBG on November 11. The tour was accompanied by vice governor Li Jiang of Yunnan Province and local officials of Xishuangbanna.

 　Knowing about that XTBG is home to 12,000 plant species from China and abroad, Ms. Song Xiuyan encouraged XTBG to expand studies on development and utilization of plant resources. When visiting the living collections within the Garden, the female Governor fully recognized the efforts of combing  landscape construction and science popularization.
