The meeting of Heads of South East Asian Botanic Gardens network (SEABG) 2009 was held in National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan during November 17-20. Participants from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Australia, Brunei, Japan and China mainland attended the meeting. Mr. Li Hongwei, deputy director of XTBG, was invited.

　　 Mr. Li Hongwei made a presentation entitled “The Blossoming Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden”, which aroused interest and concern among the attendees.

　　 The next meeting of SEABG will be co-sponsored by XTBG and Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB) in 2010.
