Prof. FANG Zhen becomes an Associate Editor for Biotechnology for Biofuels

Prof. FANG Zhen of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) has been recently appointed as an Associate Editor for peer-reviewed scientific journal Biotechnology for Biofuels, after the role of being an Editorial Board Member of it for a few months. 

As an Associate Editor, Prof. FANG Zhen's responsibilities are to:


a) decide whether a manuscript should be sent out for peer-review or rejected for being out of scope or clearly of poor quality

b) choose appropriate peer-reviewers
c) decide whether to accept, reject or request revisions

 In addition, Prof. FANG Zhen has been invited as advisory board member of peer-reviewed scientific journal Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining. Appointments to the editorial board are for 2 years in the first instance.

Prof. FANG Zhen has background in both bioenergy and nanotechnology. He has 23 years in bioenergy, more than 13 years in hydrothermal, nanotechnology and diamond anvil cell techniques of international research experiences at top universities and institutes around the world (China, Canada, Japan and Spain). He is serving as Associate Editor for Biotechnology for Biofuels (impact factor 4.15), and 9 editorial board members of international journals(e.g., Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining (impact factor 5.52); Energy, Sustainability and Society; Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science).
