Yunnan provincial government conducted a ceremony to commend science and technology award winners in Kunming on July 16. The ceremony was attended by top governors and officials of Yunnan province.

In total, 29 science and technology achievements are honored with Yunnan provincial Natural Science Awards, 6 Technology Invention Awards, and 157 Science & Technology Progress Awards respectively.

Accomplishing “Studies on tropical forest vegetation and floristic composition in Yunnnan”, Prof. Zhu Hua was honored with the second prize of Yunnan provincial Natural Science Awards.

Dr. Yang Qing and his colleagues were honored the third prize of Science & Technology Progress Awards for finishing “Research of key technology on screening and breeding of paper-pulp bamboo species”.
