Prof. Zhou Zhekun, deputy director of XTBG, has been recently elected as vice chairman of Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Jiu San Society.

At the just closed provincial congress of the Jiu San society, Prof. Zhou Zhekun and Prof. Zhang Ling of XTBG have been elected as standing members of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Jiu San Society.

Founded in May 1946, the Jiu San Society is mainly composed of senior and medium-level intellectuals in the fields of science and technology, culture, education and public health. It is one of China's eight democratic parties.
