Southwest Institutes for Biological Sciences to be co-established

A signing ceremony for co-establishing Southwest Institutes for Biological Sciences was held in XTBG on December 3. As representatives of the two sides, Dr. Chen Jin, director of XTBG, and Dr. Yao Yonggang, executive deputy director of Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), signed the agreement.

According to the agreement, XTBG and KIZ are to cooperate in establishing Southwest Institutes for Biological Sciences in Kunming. Liabilities and obligations of the two parties were clearly listed in the agreement.

It’s said that co-establishing Southwest Institutes for Biological Sciences in Kunming is a measure for implementing the strategic plan of Innovation 2020 (implementing innovation during the period from the present to 2020)of the Chinese Academy of sciences (CAS).
