New leadership of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) was formed on March 24. Prof. Chen Jin continues his role as director. Mr. Li Hongwei and Prof. Hu Huabin are deputy directors.

The appointment was released by Mr. LI Hefeng, Director-General of the CAS Bureau of Personnel and Education.

Mr. HE Yan, a member of CAS Presidium, gave positive comments on the work of the former directorate members and showed gratitude to the outgoing deputy directors (Cao Min, Li Qingjun, and Zhou Zhekun). He encouraged the new leadership, with Chen Jin as director, to cooperate cordially so as to promote development of XTBG, within the framework of the “Pioneer Action Plan” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
