The 16th Annual Meeting of Neogene Climate Evolution in Eurasia (NECLIME) was held in at the Geominero Museum at the Geological Survey of Spain (Instituto Geológico y Minero de España) from October 14-16. The meeting brought together over 40 representatives from Spain, Germany, China, and France. Prof. Zhou Zhekun and some his team members (Su Tao and Huang Jian) of XTBG presented at the meeting. The participants discussed such topics as “Evolution of climate and vegetation on the Iberian Peninsula (based on plant and vertebrate fossil evidence)”, “The evolution of the Mediterranean floras since the Pliocene”, “Palaeobiodiversity: species richness and ecological diversity through time”, and other NECLIME topics.
