The symposium brought together researchers on figs worldwide. Six young research fellows of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) participated in the meeting and presented their research work. Their presentations were as following:

Wang Gang  Ficus diversification via hybridization and introgression under the diffuse coevolution, preliminary results
Yang Pei  Comparison of sensillar morphology in female pollinators and non-pollinators in the host Ficus auriculata
Chen Huanhuan  The northern limits of figs and the expected impacts of climate change.
Afterwards, XTBG researchers communicated with international colleagues and discussed cooperation points.
