7 XTBG programs supported by CAS PIFI Fellowships

Seven foreign researchers with Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) as host institution will be financially supported by the “CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI)”. Among them, six are in the category of Visiting Scientists and one in the category of Postdoctoral Fellows.

In addition, Dr. Taksfumi Mizuno from Japan will conduct his Ph.D studies at XTBG for two years, with financial support of 505,000 RMB from CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI). His host researcher will be Akihiro Nakamura.

 

ABOUT

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) offers a package of international fellowships, collectively called the “CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI)”, to support highly-qualified international scientists and postgraduate students to work and study at CAS institutions and strengthen their scientific collaboration with CAS researchers. The PIFI program is available for four categories of international researchers and students: distinguished scientists, visiting scientists, postdoctoral researchers and international PhD students.
