Annual Staff and Workers Representatives Congress 2023 held

The two-day annual meeting 2023 of staff and workers representatives congress of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) was held on March 30-31, with attendance of 47 voting representatives and 27 non-voting delegates. Mr. Gan Fanyuan, CPC secretary of XTBG, chaired the opening. 

Prof. Yang Yongping, director of XTBG, made a report concerning progress and achievements over the past year. He also deployed the major work in 2023. Mr. Gan Fanyuan made report on team building and talent cultivation work. Prof. Xing Yaowu’s work report focused on science and technology innovation of XTBG.

The staff representatives deliberated and passed the work report by Yang Yongping, a financial report on “financial final accounts in 2022 and financial budget for revenues and expenditures in 2023” made by Ms. Dong Mengyun, and a report on “the implementation of draft resolutions in 2022” by Mr. Li Tingyu 

All the 6 work reports were discussed and passed by staff representatives.

The worker representatives then discussed and put forward suggestions on Xishuangbanna national botanical garden, system reform, international cooperation, regional cooperation,ecological civilization, tourism development, science communication, environmental education, gardening and horticulture, team building, talent cultivation, staff welfare, logistic support, etc.  

18 draft resolutions were submitted at the meeting.
