Dr. HE Yunyun of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) is on the list of laureates for 2025 CAS President Excellence Awards. 

Under the guidance of Prof. Yang Jie, He Yunyun's doctoral research focuses on forest ecology and community ecology, specifically investigating the diversity of plant secondary metabolites and plant-insect interactions. Her work systematically explores plant chemical diversity and its ecological functions across three key levels: intraspecific variations, community regulation, and geographical patterns.

He Yunyun has made significant research outcomes during her doctoral studies. She has published her research results as the first author in New Phytologist and the co-first author in Ecology Letters. She has also contributed as a key collaborator to multiple research articles published in other leading international journals, including Nature Ecology & Evolution and Journal of Ecology.

Established in 1989, the CAS President Award represents the highest honor bestowed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences upon its graduate students. This year, 480 outstanding postgraduate students across the CAS system received this distinguished recognition.
