Prof. Ma Jinshuang, a research taxonomist from Brooklyn Botanic Garden, recently paid a visit to XTBG on invitation. He held academic exchanges with the Herbarium of XTBG.

    During his stay in XTBG, Prof. Ma identified some plant specimens of Euphorbia and Aristolochiaceae. He talked about such topics as current problems in plant taxonomy, international cooperation and use of internet resources, etc. He also put forward some advice for management of the Herbarium.

    Prof. Ma Jinshuang has made publications in Flora of China about the families of Dipentodontaceae and Celastraceae, and such prestigious journals as Taxon.
