Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has consistently demonstrated strong performance in securing competitive research funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). It has maintained a high funding success rate, reflecting its scientific excellence and research capabilities in tropical botany, ecology, and environmental sciences.

XTBG has established an impressive track record in NSFC applications. Up to now, XTBG researchers have received more than 400 NSFC grants. The  funding portfolio encompasses diverse grant types: National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Excellent Young Scientists Fund, NSFC-Yunnan Joint Fund Key Projects, General Program,Young Scientists Fund, Foreign Young Scholars Research Fund, International Exchange Projects, etc.
