   Common Name: Peace Lily
   Family Name: Araceae
 
   Spathiphyllum (Spathiphyllum floribundum), or peace lily, is a popular indoor plant. It grows outdoors in shaded areas of the tropical regions .
Native to the tropical Americas, it grows freely on the floor in rain forests, making it adaptive to low-light conditions and a perfect houseplant. Spathiphyllum is relatively easy to grow and, with proper care, will continue to produce large, white spathe flowers and be green and healthy for years to come.
   Spathiphyllum floribundum (Snowflower) is a flowering plant in the family Araceae, native to northwestern South America from Panama east to Venezuela and south to Peru.It is a herbaceous perennial plant. The leaves are oval to lanceolate, 12-20 cm long and 5-9 cm broad. The flowers are produced in a spadix, surrounded by a 10-20 cm long, greenish- or yellowish-white spathe.
