Dendrobium salaccense (Bl.) Lindl
 

Found in China, Myanamar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Java, Borneo and Sumatra in riparian forests at elevations of sealevel to 1800 meters.

In Malaysia the fragrant leaves of this species are cooked with rice to give it a special spicy taste and aroma and some people in west Sumatra wear dried leaves in their hair as a perfume.
