8 new cultivars of passion flower bred by Wu Fuchaun and his team of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) have been recently registered by the Passiflora Society International (PSI). 

The 8 cultivars are Passiflora miniata 'Ziying', Passiflora miniata 'Xiyuan Red', Passiflora miniata 'Zhuangyuan Red', Passiflora miniata 'Banna Sky', Passiflora miniata 'The Spirit of the sea', Passiflora miniata 'Mansai Red', and Passiflora miniata 'Mansai 8'. 

It's the second time that XTBG researchers got new passion flower cultivars registered by PSI since 2021. Passiflora miniata 'Xishuangbanna Red' was the first new passion flower cultivar approved by the PSI in China.
