On July 6,China National Tourism Administration held the awarding ceremony in Beijing for 5 newly selected National 5A Tourist Attractions. Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) is among the national top scenic spots.
The signboard and the certificate of the National 5A Tourist Attraction were presented to Prof. Li Qingjun and Mr. Zhu Hongxiang of XTBG.
The 5 scenic spots are Dali Chongsheng Temple and the Three Pagoda Tourist Area, the Ancient Town of Lijiang, Yunnan, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Sichuan Leshan Grand Buddha Scenic Spot, Chongqing Wulong Karst Scenic Spot.
Currently there are one hundred and ten 5A National Tourist Attractions in China, among them 5 scenic spots are in Yunnan.
"5A" is a normative standard of quality grading system. The standard for “5A” is the highest grade of the standard of Rating for Tourist Attractions – the current standard in the National Tourism Administration. It put forwards comprehensive and detailed requirements in such aspects as transportation, sightseeing, tourist security, health, postal services, tourist shopping, comprehensive management, environmental protection, customer satisfaction, etc. |
