China and Myanmar celebrated a decade of collaboration in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development at a ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

To foster information exchanges between the many experts involved in the International Long-Term Ecological Research Network (ILTER), and other stakeholders, over 200 experts and scholars from the field of long-term ecosystem research from 19 countries gathered together at the Third Open Sciences Meeting (OSM) at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) from October 15-19. They would like to make joint efforts to bridge gaps between societal needs and scientific imperatives on concerns at regional and global scales, by data sharing, research collaborations and capability building in the science.
