| Abstract | Lysimachia brevicaulis Y.H. Tan & D.L. Quan (Primulaceae) is described and illustrated as a new species from a limestone karst in Oudomxay Province, Laos. It is tentatively placed in the subgenus Idiophyton. The new species is morphologically close to L. verbascifolia but can be distinguished from it by its underdeveloped stem, smaller leaf blades, solitary flowers, villous calyx, abaxially reddish brown and puberulent corolla, shorter anthers and styles, and green fruits. |
