Project position in the Plant Geography Research Group available
The Plant Geography Research Group (http://www.phylodiversity.net/fslik/) is starting up a project to study the impacts of recent forest fragmentation in Xishuangbanna. For this purpose we are looking for a motivated research assistant that is interested in fieldwork and learning to identify the local plants. Because our research group consists of a mix of Chinese and foreign students/staff, the ability to speak and understand English are a prerequisite. If you have just finished your Master Degree, this project could offer you the possibility for a PhD-study. The salary for this position would depend on your experience and education level. Housing in or near the garden would be included.
Please direct your applications to Ferry Slik (ferryslik@hotmail.com) and Yu Fei (yufei@xtbg.org.cn). Your application should include a motivation letter, and a CV (all in English). There is no deadline, for this application but we will start interviewing suitable persons from March onwards.
