Prof. Xing Yaowu, director of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), headed up a delegation to the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) from March 25-30. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides.

During the visit, XTBG researchers held discussions with UPLB leadership and relevant officials, focusing on key areas such as biodiversity conservation, tropical ecosystem research, education, and talent development.

The MoU outlined a five-year framework for cooperation in joint research, faculty and student exchanges, collaborative project implementation, academic events, and data and information sharing.
